Tutor Organizer is an Android application designed to help private tutors manage students, parent or responsible-person contact details, lessons, attendance, payments, notes, reports and local backups.
1. Local-first design
Tutor Organizer is designed to store its working data locally on the user's device. The core app does not require a mandatory Tutor Organizer account or a developer-operated cloud database.
2. Information you may enter
Depending on how you use the app, you may enter information such as:
- student names and contact details;
- parent or responsible-person names and contact details;
- lesson dates, times, format, attendance status and notes;
- lesson prices, charges, payment amounts and actual payment dates;
- reminders and tutoring notes;
- settings and backup information.
This information is provided by the user for the purpose of organising tutoring activity.
3. Data collection by the developer
The core Tutor Organizer app is not designed to automatically transmit the tutoring database to the developer. The developer does not need access to your student, lesson or payment records for the app's normal operation.
If a future version introduces optional online services, analytics, cloud synchronisation or other data transfers, this Privacy Policy and the Google Play Data Safety information will be updated before those features are represented as part of the service.
4. Backups
Tutor Organizer can allow you to create a backup file. A backup is created only when you choose to create one. You are responsible for where that file is stored and who can access it.
If you save, send or synchronise a backup using a third-party file manager, cloud storage service, email provider or sharing app, that third party may process the file according to its own privacy policy.
5. External links and services
The app may contain links to external services such as seo4.co.nz, an email application or Google Play. When you open an external service, its own privacy terms apply.
6. Data sharing
Tutor Organizer does not automatically publish or sell your tutoring records. Any export, backup, email or other sharing action is initiated by you through the app or Android system tools.
7. Data retention and deletion
Local app data remains on the device until you edit it, erase it, clear the app's storage or uninstall the app, subject to Android's normal device behaviour.
Backup files are separate copies. Deleting the app does not necessarily delete backup files that you previously saved elsewhere. You should delete those copies separately if you no longer want to keep them.
8. Security
Tutor Organizer is designed to minimise unnecessary data transfer by keeping the core database local. No software can guarantee absolute security, so users should also protect their Android device with appropriate device security and keep backup files in locations they trust.
9. Children's information
Tutor Organizer is a tool for tutors. A tutor may enter information about students, including minors, when it is appropriate and lawful for their tutoring activity. The tutor is responsible for having any permissions or lawful basis required to store and use that information.
10. Your responsibility as the tutor
If you use Tutor Organizer to store personal information about students or parents, you are responsible for using that information appropriately and in accordance with privacy and data-protection rules that apply to your tutoring activity and location.
11. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when Tutor Organizer changes. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date.
